Fruit passion jello, 25 calories. For some reason I can eat this but not regular jello. Dinner is still an hour away and I haven't eaten in 8hrs.

Your body is set up to maintain a stable metabolism by refueling regularly. That's why eating smaller meals throughout the day will help maintain a steady metabolism. When you starve for 8 or more hrs at a time, your body responds by slowing down your metabolism. Meanwhile, while you're fasting your blood sugar drops; making you susceptible to eating more than you actually need once mealtime comes around again due to extreme hunger. These two factors combined may mean weight gain if you do this on a regular basis. Smaller meals every 4 hours or so is better for your metabolism, and it will help you to feel more satisfied throughout the day. Keep up the great work and good luck!
